Pin Mill Barge Match 2022

The 60th Thames Barge Match, hosted by the Pin Mill Sailing Club will be held on Saturday 9th July 2022. 

This is a great spectator day out where you will be able to get close to the action of an historic Thames Barge Match. We will depart from the Old Custom House at Ipswich Waterfront, pass through the marina lock gates and out onto the beautiful and historic River Orwell heading down to Pin Mill for the start of the race, this is a great opportunity to see these majestic historic vessels racing under full sail. We will follow the racing fleet down the Orwell and into Harwich Harbour and then into the River Stour (depending on the course set) and then enjoy front row seats for the finish before heading back into Ipswich to disembark. No food will be served on this event and therefore it is an opportunity to bring your own picnic. 

Drinks and snacks will be available from our well stocked bar.
